Billing & Fee Processing
To establish new service or transfer existing
service you must come to the office in City Hall at 104 N 5th St. A picture ID
is required: driver’s license, military ID, student ID, passport, ID card, or
employment ID.
To disconnect services: It is required that the applicant who has the service in
his or her name must be the one to disconnect. If you can not come to the MMU office
and proper information was given in the beginning, this may be done over the
phone.
Changes on mailing address maybe done in person or in written form mailed to the
MMU office:

Deposits for renters are:
$100.00--for gas & 50.00 for water
Connect fees
$15.00--for each service if off
Re-connect fees
$25.00 per service
· if service is turned off for non-payment
· to be paid in cash, and isn’t added to bill
Fall re-connect fee
$50.00--This is a fee if your gas is turned off in the spring either by you
disconnecting or non-payment.
Business’s deposits
To be established at time of service. Call MMU at 270-762-0300 for more
information. It may be based on location, previous history of usage, or type of
business.
Types of payment: Cash, credit card, check, bank draft (on cut-off days
delinquent bills must be paid in cash along with any additional fees). We
currently do not offer budget billing. We currently do not offer online bill
payment.
Agencies for you to contact if you cannot pay your bill: WKAS (heating
assistance), MFRC, CFRC, Needline, & several local churches.
