Planned Development Projects

A PDP, or Planned Development Project, is to be applied for if more than one structure is to be built on the property. A PDP is unique in nature to the surrounding area and is usually complex or innovative compared to normal development in that area. The zoning official determines if a development should follow the PDP process. An office park or condominium project could be some of the possible developments following the PDP process.

Some of the steps in the PDP process are:

Advisory meeting with Planning Commission
Compatibility meeting with Board of Zoning Adjustments
Public Hearing
Conditional Use Application
Plat Submission
Planning Commission Approval

The PDP process can be reviewed in Section III, Article 5 of the Zoning Ordinance.
