Suppression

This is the largest branch which is divided into three shifts: A, B, and C. The department schedule is 24 hours on shift and 48 hours off. Each shift consists of one Assistant Chief, one Captain, one Lieutenant, seven Firefighters.

The Assistant Chief is responsible for his shift and Station I while on duty and is in charge of all incident responses until otherwise relieved by the Chief. The Captain is responsible for Station II and is in charge of any incident when the Assistant Chief is absent; the Captain assumes the responsibilities of the Assistant Chief. When the Captain is absent, the Lieutenant assumes the duties of the Captain.
