Public Education

The need for public education relating to fire is constant and a year round project of the Murray Fire Department. Programs are available for all age groups and are presented on a request basis. Requests may be made at 270-762-0320. Fire safety presentations, extinguisher demonstrations, films, and station tours are just a few examples of education provided to the public at no cost. Public education is coordinated by the Chief and presentations are made by various trained personnel of the department. An injury prevention program coordinated by the Fire Marshall is being tested in local elementary schools with hopes of expanding county wide.
