Board of Zoning Adjustments (BZA)
The Board of Zoning Adjustments consists of 7
members of the community who assist the Planning Department in reviewing
applications for Dimensional Variances, Conditional Uses, Sign Permits, and the
interpretation of the City of Murray Zoning Ordinance. Members of the Board of
Zoning Adjustments are appointed by the mayor, and voted in by the passage of a
municipal order by the City Council. The BZA meets on the Wednesday following
the third Tuesday of each
month at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 104 N. 5th St. To
submit items to be considered by the BZA, contact Candace Dowdy at 762-0330.

Meeting minutes will be posted after they are approved at the following Board of
Zoning Adjustments meeting. Audio tapes of meetings are available upon request at the
cost of a cassette tape. Check the city event calendar for the next meeting date
and time.
